Over and Over and
A series of paintings on paper. Life is different but everything from before is still there, whether physically or in memory or in the way the past has shaped the present. The grid acts as a construct for familiarity or a system; often the lattice structure is partially erased or warped from the outset. These drawings/paintings are built up in layers of variable opacity with a dominant rhythm floating on the surface relating to the now of now. Every earlier action is present to some extent in the layers below, both visible and concealed, but always exerting influence on subsequent strata.
