The Way and The Other OTHER Way

Work from solo exhibitions in 2015/16 and Painting Connections group show in 2017. The pieces in these exhibits explore routine interaction with a physical landscape and how that can shape the patterns of ones being. I was particularly interested in repeated journeys through places, routes and markers, maps and boundaries. The form of the map and its abstract relationship to the real landscape holds particular interest to me. The flat or folded paper and markings extending to the edge suggesting a place beyond.
